Welcome!

I'm Meghan, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over a decade of clinical experience. I see patients in Oregon and Washington for psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management with supportive psychotherapy.

If you're reading this, chances are something hasn't been working. Whether you were given a diagnosis that doesn’t quite fit, prescribed medications that haven’t helped, or spent years in treatment without relief, you’re in the right place.

Curiosity and creativity are the foundation of my practice. I will ask the questions that others have not to help you achieve goals that you’ve worried are out of reach. As a careful diagnostician, I will rethink a diagnosis when the picture doesn't add up. You are not the same as anyone else and your care shouldn’t be either.

I am committed to building relationships that are secure so people can share openly and without fear of judgment. My style is compassionate as well as direct. I am open with my impressions and the choices I propose. My patients feel seen, heard, and cared for—not because I agree with everything, but because I assume the best about them while also telling the truth.

Most of my clients have experienced some form of trauma, often the quieter kind: the parent who was physically present but emotionally unavailable, the family that prized performance over connection, the message that your needs were too much. I believe childhood trauma includes any experience that was less than nurturing and supportive. Under that definition, trauma is much broader than most people realize. I believe many individuals carry shame that was never theirs to own; rather, it developed because they were not loved in the ways they needed to be. That shame drives many of the patterns that keep people stuck well into their adulthood, and naming it is the first step in putting it down.

You'll always be in the driver's seat. I lay out options, tell you what I'd choose for myself, and hand the decision back to you. I can't decide for you, and if I did, you wouldn't trust it anyway.

If you would like to learn more, please view the other pages on my website and reach out with any questions. I'd be glad to meet you.
